Charging Your Pump

To charge your pump from an AC power outlet:

  1. Plug the included USB cable into the AC power adapter.
  2. Plug the AC power adapter into a grounded AC power outlet.
  3. Plug the other end of the cable into the USB-C port on the charging pad.
  4. Remove any accessories from the pump prior to placing the pump on the charging pad, as they may interfere with charging.
  5. Place the pump on the charging pad by matching the Tandem logo on the top of the charging pad to the Tandem logo located on the flat side of the pump. The pump will not be centered on the charging pad. If the logos are not properly aligned, the pump will not charge.
  6. Check to make sure the pump status lights illuminate. The charging pad will illuminate for approximately thirty seconds and then dim.

To charge the pump using a USB port on a computer:

  1. Ensure that the computer complies with the IEC 60950-1 (or equivalent) safety standard.
  2. Plug the included USB cable into your computer.
  3. Plug the other end of the cable into the USB-C port on the charging pad.
  4. Place the pump on the charging pad.

Once the battery is fully charged, the pump status lights will turn off. If the battery is fully charged, the pump status lights will illuminate when the pump is placed on the charging pad for five seconds

CHARGING TIPS

Tandem Diabetes Care recommends that you periodically check the battery level indicator, charge the pump for a short period of time every day (10 to 15 minutes), and avoid fully emptying the battery on a frequent basis.

PRECAUTION

Confirm that you can feel the pump vibrate and see the pump status lights blinking above the Pump button when place the pump on a powered charging pad. These features are used to notify you about alerts, alarms, and other conditions that require your attention. If these features are not working, discontinue use of the Tandem Mobi pump and contact Customer Technical Support.
